Sunset Sherbet (Sherbinski + CLTVTD)

Verified clone

This is a verified clone of SUNSET SHERBERT (Thin Mint Cookies x Pink Panties) the happy accident turned classic cut that has helped usher in a wave of sweet creamy flavor profiles over the entire world. One of the best breeding cuts smoking in the game, even now, and we urge you to find out why the Sherb shook the world when she hit the shelves in 2012.

This cut of Sunset Sherb was sourced directly from Sherbinkski via CLTVTD & Node Labs.

Sunset Sherbert is a nostalgic and creamy treat, with heavy fruit and cream notes that translate direct to flavor when smoked. She's always been one of our favorite Cookies cuts and hope you'll take the time to find out why. Unlike many of the classic Cookies lineage cuts which produce low to medium-yielding but incredibly potent flowers, the Sunset Sherb still holds up in commercial cultivation today while offering a slightly orangey and creamy flavor profile to your traditional Sweet and Purple cookies cuts.

Sunset Sherb is a labor of love from Sherbinski and acquiring it is like owning a piece of modern history as the Sherb is a cornerstone of modern California genetics with a great story of her own:

Back in 2012, 6 years after the release of GSC, cookies phenos had taken over the market and the Cookies Hype was in full steam, Mario Guzman aka Mr. Sherbinski entered the scene in San Francisco with a handful of his Burmese x Larry OG seeds which would become known as Pink Panties...

Sherbinski was growing a batch of Thin Mint Cut GSC in collaboration with Jigga of Cookie Fam in a flower room he converted at his grandma's house at the same time he had popped those Pink Panties seeds. And doing what any grower with too many plants and not enough space does, he fit a couple of his Pink Panties babies into a corner of his flower room. Unfortunately for him, but fortunately for the rest of the world, one of those Pink Panties was a male and started throwing pollen before he could do anything about it.

"I didn’t realize it would pollinate in a matter of weeks, but it did. It just took off." -- Sherbinski

and just like that, instead of having an amazing crop of Thin Mintz flower that Sherbinski and Jigga were expecting to drop on the commercial market, they had a room full of seeded bud, which they started popping and hunting for research purposes. Eventually, one of those seed pops became the Sunset Sherbert pheno we know and love today.

Sherbinski says the name came to him because of the orange and cream flavor which reminded him of Rainbow Sherbert and the fact it was created in the Sunset District and his crew were known as the Sunset District Clique.

"When I first smoked Sunset Sherbert I tasted berry, citrus, the lemon, the orange, a little lime, all these different flavors, and I was like, 'Man, this tastes like Sherbert'" -- Sherbinkski

From there Cookies took the cut and applied their now standard marketing strategy to push it throughout northern and southern California, but especially in the Bay, and the rest is now history.

"It was a really popping strain in the Bay Area. We were promoting it. Rappers were rapping about it, but part of what created the hype, for me, was it was created with love. There was not a lot of it; I made sure to spread it around to the dispensaries and friends doing a good job of getting it out to the public" -- Sherbinski

In 2014, Sunset Sherb would be reversed and crossed back to Girl Scout Cookies to create the legendary Gelato phenos, which would then be crossed to Zkittlez to create Runtz, on the back of which the rich genetic history of Cookies cuts continues to dominate the world's canna market today.

Notice a
residue issue?
Don't worry,
it's just Sulphur.

WE USE A SULFUR BASED FOLIAR SPRAY IN OUR IPM REGIMEN

If you notice a white or yellow residue in the grooves or spots on the leaves of your new plants, it's most likely dried foliar spray, not powdery mildew (PM).

Sulfur is commonly used across many agricultural industries worldwide because it's one of the most cost-effective and efficient treatments for a variety of issues. This is why the presence of sulfur residue on your plants is perfectly normal.

In fact, sulfur is so effective that it eliminates PM on contact. If you're dealing with powdery mildew, a sulfur treatment will take care of it.

Important Note: To avoid a potential phototoxic reaction, wait 7-10 days after a sulfur application before using any oil-based IPM treatments.
